Our Ski Adventure

Our 3 nights/3days at Eagles 309 at Big White was great. The pictures on the Big White site are accurate – what you see is what you get.

What was good about it:
* The unit is spacious and comfortable and easily slept 6 adults. 2 bathrooms were a must and glad we had them.
* The unit is very close to the locker room, so you don’t have a long walk to get to your equipment once you have your winter gear/boots on.
* Shuffleboard in the unit – lots of fun!
* Literally ski in/ski out – in fact, this unit is right next to the equipment locker room exit (which exits directly onto the Hummingbird ski run). It’s so close, that people in the unit could hand us hot chocolate from within the unit while we took a break from snowboarding/skiing J
* Kitchen was well equipped
* Central Reservations was very responsive to requests (e.g. for more towels) and the check-in process (which happened at 1:30am on day of arrival), only took about 5 minutes! Check-out was equally smooth, which only required handing in the keys.
* There was a communal games room which had ping-pong, air hockey and billiards – we didn’t get to avail the facilities but it looked to be decently maintained.
What didn’t work quite so well:
* We couldn’t get the wifi to work – but really, who wants to be checking email?!
* There weren’t enough towels to go around for three days – but this problem was quickly solved by calling Central Reservations and they sent us more
* The unit was about 2 min walk within the building from the communal hot-tub (which didn’t have any jets) – got a bit cold making the dash to the hot tub but on some nights J
Overall, we would definitely would go back and stay in this unit!
